Mexican Fiesta Feast!!
Hello all,
I know that it has been a while since I have posted with miniature pics, and I am glad to say that I have a wonderfully delicious feast to show you. I hope that you have all eaten already. I would not want to be responsible for folks having to run to get food after seeing my Mexican Fiesta Feast.
I will start of with the Chili. Does it make you want to run for the nearest Mexican restaurant. My chili was done a little differently than the teachers but I love the way that it came out. She allowed us to do what we liked for our final product. My chili has visible tomatoes, peppers and onions. Well since onions are so translucent you might only see the tomatoes and peppers.LOL
Next up is the Salsa and Chips.I did not make chunky salsa. I made the regular version. I will make another bowl of chunky salsa to add to the fiesta.
Here are the Tacos and no they are not from Taco Bells.. They are made in Cocina de Perla, translation "Pearl's Kitchen". LOL
I have saved the best for last for all you lovers of the full fiesta feel with the beverages. We have as she calls herself "the life of the party". I present to you Senora Sangria.. She just loves her added lemon that is visible at the top of the Sangria.
I would like to give a special Thank You, to a great teacher and fellow miniaturist. Carolyn Eiche of Carolyn's Creations here in NYC for a wonderful class and being a wonderful teacher. I took a special workshop that my miniature group gave last Saturday, and I had a wonderful time as I know all who participated did. Thank you again Carolyn for being a great teacher..
Until next time,
Pearl

To All My New and Old Miniature Girls...
I am sending this out to all my miniature friends. I think that it can even ring true with virtual friends. You never know when someone you meet online will become one of your closest friends later in life. I hope that as miniaturist we all have wonderful "girls in my circle". Please leave a comment as I would love to hear from each and every one of you. Blessings to all.
GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE | |
| When I was little, I used to believe in the concept of one best friend, And then I started to become a woman. And then I found out that if you allow your heart to open up, God would show you the best in many friends. |
| One friend is needed when you're going through things with your man. Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your mom. Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delight in your children and their activities. Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be. One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,' Another , 'Let's fight together,' Another , 'Let's walk away together.' |
| One friend will meet your spiritual need, Another your shoe fetish, Another your love for movies, Another will be with you in your season of confusion, Another will be your clarifier, Another the wind beneath your wings. |
| But whatever their assignment in your life, On whatever the occasion, On whatever the day, Or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair pulled back, Or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself . Those are your best friends. |
| It may all be wrapped up in one woman, But for many, it's wrapped up in several.. One from 7th grade, One from high school, Several from the college years, A couple from old jobs, On some days your mother, On some days your neighbor, On others, your sisters, And on some days, your daughters.. |
So whether they've been a friend for 20 minutes or 20+ years, AND ONLY IF YOU'D LIKE TO, Pass this on to the women that God has placed in your life To make a difference. Including the one who sent it to you. | |

An Irish Blessing!
Hello-
I know that it has been a while and someone sent me an email today and reading the story in the email and the saying at the end made me realize more than ever that it is true. I have always believed that and I hope that everyone who reads it takes something positive away from it as I have.. Enjoy!!!
His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One
day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard
a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his
tools and ran to the bog.
There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy
, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming
saved the lad from what could have been a slow and
terrifying death.
The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's
sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped
out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer
Fleming had saved.
'I want to repay you,' said the nobleman. 'You saved my
son's life.'
'No, I can't accept payment for what I did,' the Scottish
farmer replied waving off the offer. At that moment, the
farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel.
'Is that your son?' the nobleman asked.
'Yes,' the farmer replied proudly.
'I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of
education my own son will enjoy If the lad is anything like
his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be
proud of.' And that he did.
Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in
time, graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in
London, and went on to become known throughout the world as
the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of
Penicillin.
Years afterward, the same nobleman's son who was saved from
the bog was stricken with pneumonia.
What saved his life this time? Penicillin.
The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill .. His
son's name?
Sir Winston Churchill.
Someone once said: What goes around comes around.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth.
Until Later,
Pearl
